How many times per week will I need to attend physical therapy?
The frequency of physical therapy depends on the severity of the injury. On average, a patient will attend physical therapy 2-3 times per week.

What insurance do you accept?
Athalon Physical Therapy accepts 1199, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Emblem, GHI, HIP, Magna Care, Medicare, Multiplan, Metrohealth, No Fault, Oxford, PHCS, Unicare, United Health Care and Worker’s Compensation claims

What can I expect on my first visit?
Please bring a change of clothes that allow for the physical therapsit to access your injured body part (shorts, sneakers and t-shirt), prescrition for physical therapy and insurance card. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for paperwork. However, our initial paperwork is available for download on this site.

What are Athalon’s hours of operation?
Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 8:00PM

Do Athalon’s physical therapists make out of office visits?
At this time Athalon’s therapists do not accept in-home visits

Do you have a shower?
Yes Athalon has a shower and personal lockers for your belongings

Do I need a doctor’s referral to make an appointment?
In the state of New York you may be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist without a prescription for 10 visits in a thirty day period. After that time a prescription is required. Athalon can assist with a referral when a prescription is needed.
